How much room is inside a private jet depends first on its class. The range runs from the smallest to the largest published cabin among the models in each class; a cabin of 6 ft or more is a stand-up cabin. These are the type's dimensions, not any one interior.

Which private jets have a stand-up cabin?

Of the 71 models compared here, 29 have a cabin at least 6 ft high; the shortest of them is the Cessna Citation Latitude (6 ft high, 21 ft 9 in long). turboprop, very light jet and light jet cabins are all under 6 ft: seated cabins.

Which private jet has the largest cabin?

By published cabin length, the Gulfstream G700: 56 ft 11 in long, 6 ft 3 in high and 8 ft 2 in wide. The widest cabin here is the Bombardier Challenger 605's, at 8 ft 2 in. Airliners converted to private use (ACJ, BBJ) are larger again and are not compared here.

What does a private jet seat map look like?

Most business jets seat four in a club arrangement (two pairs of facing seats) at the front of the cabin. Larger cabins add a second club or a conference group of four around a table, then a divan that converts to a bed, with the galley forward and the lavatory aft. Every aircraft is completed to its owner's order, so the seat map on a model's interior page is a representative layout, not that of any one aircraft.

Turboprops: 4 ft to 4 ft 10 in high, 4 ft to 5 ft 4 in wide, 12 ft 9 in to 19 ft 6 in long. Very light jets: 4 ft 1 in to 4 ft 6 in high, 4 ft 7 in to 5 ft 1 in wide, 9 ft 9 in to 12 ft 4 in long. Light jets: 4 ft 4 in to 5 ft 5 in high, 4 ft 9 in to 5 ft 7 in wide, 10 ft 6 in to 23 ft long. Midsize jets: 4 ft 11 in to 6 ft high, 4 ft 10 in to 6 ft 10 in wide, 12 ft 8 in to 26 ft 10 in long. Super-midsize jets: 5 ft 8 in to 6 ft 3 in high, 5 ft 6 in to 7 ft 2 in wide, 23 ft 6 in to 28 ft 7 in long. Large-cabin jets: 6 ft to 6 ft 2 in high, 6 ft 11 in to 8 ft 2 in wide, 25 ft 7 in to 45 ft 1 in long.
