RADAR IN 45 SECONDS

Five product shorts. Each under 45 seconds.

Deep dive in the Radar logbook series. Five features, each shown on screen with captions and its own cut of the soundtrack: the flip-through viewer, packages, D085 history, conformity packages and Ask Radar.

010:44 · Demo aircraft, sample data

Flip through your logbooks

0:00 / 0:44

Open a logbook and turn the pages like the real book. Log pages only, save a page, report one in the wrong place. MP4

020:36 · Real records, N395PD

One work order, everything it touched

0:00 / 0:36

The Packages view on a real engine shop visit: parts off and on, the SB, the 8130-3 tags and part history. MP4

030:36 · Demo aircraft, sample data

Your fleet’s D085 history

0:00 / 0:36

Certificate history: which aircraft were on your Part 135 D085, and when, on one timeline. MP4

040:40 · Demo aircraft, sample data

Build and lock a conformity package

0:00 / 0:40

A conformity package: Radar suggests the pages, you accept them, lock it, mark it sent and download the PDF. MP4

050:36 · Real records, N395PD

Ask Radar

0:00 / 0:36

The Radar Agent answers about the aircraft you have open, and every answer cites its page. On N395PD’s real records. MP4

Sound on for the soundtrack; captions are on by default. With a short focused: Space plays and pauses, arrows skip 5 seconds. On a phone each short plays in its vertical cut.

THE SHORT VERSION

Six words the shorts use.

FlipFlip-through viewer
A logbook shown one page at a time, like the book. The arrow keys turn pages; a strip of thumbnails shows where you are.
PkgPackage
One maintenance job as Radar groups it: the work order, the entries, the ADs and SBs complied with, the parts off and on and their release tags.
8130-3FAA Form 8130-3
The Authorized Release Certificate that travels with a part. It releases the part. The signed logbook entry returns the aircraft to service.
D085OpSpec D085
The operations specification that lists the aircraft a Part 135 certificate holder may operate, by make, model, serial number and registration.
ConfConformity package
The documents that show an aircraft conforms to its type design and is ready to go on a certificate: registration, airworthiness certificate, weight and balance, AD status, inspection status and more.
CiteCitation
A link from an answer or a value back to the logbook page it was read from, so anyone can check it against the paper.

WHERE EACH ONE LIVES

All five start from the aircraft.

Four live on the aircraft’s page; certificate history lives on the fleet page. The agent opens from anywhere and follows the aircraft you are on.

SHORT 1 · FLIP THROUGH

Flip through your logbooks like the real book.

The Logbooks tab groups an aircraft’s files the way a records room does: the airframe, each engine by serial number, the APU, and anything not yet assigned. Flip through opens one logbook in the viewer.

The viewer shows one page at a time. The arrow keys turn pages and the strip along the bottom follows. Log pages hides invoices and other papers filed with the logbook. The menu at the top left switches to another logbook. Save for review puts a page on your own review list, with a note. Report page tells the Radar team a page is in the wrong logbook or on the wrong aircraft; nothing changes until they fix it.

SHORT 2 · PACKAGES

One work order, and everything it touched.

The Packages tab lists every job on the aircraft, newest first. The short uses real records: work order 39023, an engine shop visit to Challenger 350 N395PD on 14 Jul 2026.

Opened, the package shows the bulletin it complied with (Honeywell SB AS907-72-9094 R0), and on the left engine each part that came off beside the part that went on: the No. 4 bearing carbon seal, 3035532-6 off and 70041289-2 on, and the LPT stub shaft, same part number 3035691-1 with a new serial. Each part that went on carries its 8130-3: the seal new from Honeywell, the shaft overhauled by a Honeywell repair station.

Open a part for its history on the aircraft. The overhauled shaft’s tag records 4648.98 hours and 2563 cycles since new, from its life before this engine. Every value opens the logbook page it was read from.

SHORT 3 · CERTIFICATE HISTORY

Which aircraft were on your D085, and when.

A Part 135 operator’s OpSpec D085 lists the aircraft it may use. Aircraft come on and off it as the fleet changes, and auditors, insurers and buyers ask what was listed when.

Certificate history draws each aircraft’s time on the certificate as a bar, with the fleet count above. Hover any date to see who was listed. Select an aircraft for its stints, even across a re-registration. Paste the aircraft table from your D085 and Radar shows what each line matches before anything is saved. The short uses Radar’s demo fleet; its tail numbers are sample data.

SHORT 4 · CONFORMITY

Build a conformity package from records you already have.

A conformity package starts with fourteen sections, from the airworthiness certificate and registration to weight and balance, AD compliance, life-limited parts, and engine, propeller and APU records, each with the rule it answers.

Suggest documents lists pages Radar already read that fit a section, with the words that matched. Nothing is added until you accept it. Sections with nothing in them stay flagged. Lock and mark sent records who the package went to and when; a locked package cannot change, and the PDF download stays exactly as sent. The short uses Radar’s demo aircraft N512CR, sample data.

SHORT 5 · ASK RADAR

Ask your logbooks a question. Get the page.

The Radar Agent opens beside the aircraft you are on and answers about that aircraft. In the short, on N395PD, the question is when SB AS907-72-9094 was done and what parts changed.

The answer comes from the records: the left engine, S/N P136235, work order 39023, 14 Jul 2026, the seal and the shaft. Each fact carries a citation, and a citation opens the logbook page itself, here the real engine log entry with the shop, names and signatures redacted.

ABOUT THESE SHORTS

The app screens are recreated in code from screenshots of Radar, so the motion stays smooth; layouts and labels follow the real app. Shorts 2 and 5 use real records of one airframe, Challenger 350 serial 20577, registered N395PD: the left engine log entry for work order 39023 (14 Jul 2026) and its two 8130-3 tags. The shop, names, signatures, certificate numbers, 8130-3 tracking and approval numbers are redacted, and the source page shown is the real scan with those redactions. Shorts 1, 3 and 4 use Radar’s demo sandbox: N512CR, its pages and the D085 fleet are sample data, not real aircraft records.
