QUESTIONS

CitationJet questions, answered from the data

How much does a CitationJet cost?

Radar's rough range is about $800K to $1.8M for a 2000 and $460K to $1M for a 1993. From Radar's listing-based estimates for business jets of similar engine thrust and age. These are rough ranges, not appraisals: hours, engines, damage history, equipment and the logbooks move the price of any one aircraft.

What affects the price of a CitationJet?

What moves the price of any one CitationJet: total time and engine time, engine program enrollment, damage history, avionics and equipment, and complete logbooks. Build year sets the baseline shown on this page; a CitationJet with high hours, an engine near overhaul or gaps in its records sells below it, and one with low time, recent inspections and full records above it.

Where can I find a CitationJet for sale?

Radar does not list aircraft for sale. It tracks all 235 US-registered CitationJets by tail number, each with its registration record and a value estimate, so you can check a listing against the value of its build year and look up the aircraft's own history before you call.

How many CitationJets are there?

235 CitationJets are on the US civil aircraft register (FAA file of October 2026), built 1993 to 2000. Aircraft registered in other countries are not counted. Radar has a page for each US registration.

What are the CitationJet's specs?

As published: up to 6 passengers, a maximum operating Mach of 0.71, a ceiling of 41,000 ft and 2 × Williams International FJ44-1A engines. A given aircraft varies with its completion, weight and modifications.

How fast is the CitationJet?

Its maximum operating Mach number (the speed limit it is certified to) is 0.71. Cruise speeds depend on altitude and weight.

How high can a CitationJet fly?

The CitationJet is certified to 41,000 feet. Heavy aircraft climb there in steps as they burn fuel.

How many passengers does a CitationJet seat?

Up to 6 passengers, the most the type is published for. Many aircraft are completed with fewer, larger seats, so a given CitationJet may seat fewer.

Who owns CitationJets?

Of the 235 US-registered CitationJets, 220 (94%) are registered to companies, trusts and other entities and 15 to individuals. Radar names entity owners only; individuals are shown as privately registered. The most common states of registration are TX (27), DE (21), CA (14).
