QUESTIONS

Citation Ultra questions, answered from the data

How much does a Citation Ultra cost?

Radar's rough range is about $1.2M to $2.6M for a 1999 and $620K to $1.4M for a 1989. From Radar's listing-based estimates for business jets of similar engine thrust and age. These are rough ranges, not appraisals: hours, engines, damage history, equipment and the logbooks move the price of any one aircraft.

What affects the price of a Citation Ultra?

What moves the price of any one Citation Ultra: total time and engine time, engine program enrollment, damage history, avionics and equipment, and complete logbooks. Build year sets the baseline shown on this page; a Citation Ultra with high hours, an engine near overhaul or gaps in its records sells below it, and one with low time, recent inspections and full records above it.

Where can I find a Citation Ultra for sale?

Radar does not list aircraft for sale. It tracks all 200 US-registered Citation Ultras by tail number, each with its registration record and a value estimate, so you can check a listing against the value of its build year and look up the aircraft's own history before you call.

How many Citation Ultras are there?

200 Citation Ultras are on the US civil aircraft register (FAA file of October 2026), built 1989 to 1999. Aircraft registered in other countries are not counted. Radar has a page for each US registration.

What are the Citation Ultra's specs?

As published: up to 11 passengers, a maximum operating Mach of 0.75, a ceiling of 45,000 ft and 2 × Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5D engines. A given aircraft varies with its completion, weight and modifications.

How fast is the Citation Ultra?

Its maximum operating Mach number (the speed limit it is certified to) is 0.75. Cruise speeds depend on altitude and weight.

How high can a Citation Ultra fly?

The Citation Ultra is certified to 45,000 feet. Heavy aircraft climb there in steps as they burn fuel.

How many passengers does a Citation Ultra seat?

Up to 11 passengers, the most the type is published for. Many aircraft are completed with fewer, larger seats, so a given Citation Ultra may seat fewer.

Who owns Citation Ultras?
