Honda Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of American Honda, builds the HondaJet in Greensboro, North Carolina. The HA-420 HondaJet received its FAA type certificate in December 2015; its engines are mounted on pylons above the wings. The Elite, Elite S and Elite II are later versions of the same airframe.
