Informational only. These are FAA airworthiness directives whose published applicability names this make and model. Whether an AD applies to a particular aircraft depends on its serial number, installed engines, propellers, parts and modifications, and some ADs listed here will not apply. This list is not the official AD record and not a compliance determination: confirm applicability and compliance against the FAA’s Dynamic Regulatory System and the aircraft’s records with a certificated mechanic or inspector. Covers ADs published in the Federal Register since 1995, through Oct 1, 2026; older ADs, and engine, propeller and appliance ADs that do not name the aircraft, are not included.

(formerly Garrett Engine Division) TFE731-2, -2A, -3, -3R series turbofan engines with fan rotor disks, part numbers (P/N's) 3072162-1 through -4, 3073436-1 through -4, 3073539-2, and 3074529-2, installed on, but not limited to: Avions Marcel Dassault Falcon 10, 50, 100 series; Learjet 31, 35, 36 series; Lockheed-Georgia 1329-23, -25 series; Israel Aircraft Industries 1124 series; Raytheon British Aerospace HS125 series; and Sabreliner NA-265-65 aircraft. Note: This airworthiness directive (AD) applies to each engine identified in the preceding applicability provision, regardless of whether it has been modified, altered, or repaired in the area subject to the requirements of this AD. For engines that have been modified, altered, or repaired so that the performance of the requirements of this AD is affected, the owner/operator must use the authority provided in paragraph (e) to request approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This approval may address either no action, if the current configuration eliminates the unsafe condition, or different actions necessary to address the unsafe condition described in this AD. Such a request should include an assessment of the effect of the changed configuration on the unsafe condition addressed by this AD. In no case does the presence of any modification, alteration, or repair remove any engine from the applicability of this AD.

QUESTIONS

Learjet 31 (certified family) AD questions

Source: FAA final rules under 14 CFR part 39, from the Federal Register. The FAA’s Dynamic Regulatory System holds the official list.

How many airworthiness directives apply to the Learjet 31 (certified family)?

22 FAA ADs published since 1995 name the Learjet 31 (certified family)'s type certificate model (31) in their applicability. 20 are still in effect as far as the Federal Register shows; the others were superseded by a later AD or removed. How many apply to one aircraft depends on its serial number, equipment and modifications.

Which Learjet 31 (certified family) ADs are recurring?

4 of the ADs in effect require actions that repeat, such as inspections at set intervals, until a terminating action is done. They are marked Recurring above. One-time ADs are complied with once, but the compliance record stays with the aircraft.

What is the latest Learjet 31 (certified family) airworthiness directive?

AD 2010-06-11, effective Apr 21, 2010: Honeywell International Inc. TFE731 Series Turbofan Engines. The list is refreshed from the Federal Register every weekday.

How do I know whether an AD applies to my Learjet 31 (certified family)?

Read the AD's applicability paragraph, shown with each AD on this page, against the aircraft's serial number and its installed engines, propellers, parts and modifications. A certificated mechanic or inspector makes the determination and records the method of compliance in the maintenance records. The FAA's Dynamic Regulatory System holds the official list of ADs.

Why are engine and propeller ADs missing?

This page lists ADs whose applicability names the Learjet 31 (certified family) airframe, plus appliance ADs that list it among the aircraft they can be installed on. Engine and propeller ADs name the engine or propeller model rather than the aircraft, so check them by the installed engine and propeller models.
